Port Captain for Breakbulk Shipment

We know just how important a close supervision and thought-through coordination is when loading a cargo ship. That gives us an extra edge to successfully accomplish even the most complex breakbulk shipments.

Team players to the core

As Port Captains, we take firm control, but loading a ship correctly and safely is teamwork. In constant dialogue with the stevedores, the lashing and securing, and the captain we roll out, verify and adjust the stowplan as we go.

After all, breakbulk has high volatility. If a partial cargo does not reach the ship in time, we rearrange it so that we do not lose precious time.

With attention to the full load, stability and proper weight distribution, of course.

From prestow to full report

Our job starts before the first cargo hits the docks and ends after the ship sets sail. But not without reporting the loading process, including photos and remarks.

By documenting each step along the way, with visual proof, you have all the information you might need when there is a discussion about the cargo at sea or upon arrival.

Anticipating potential difficulties

We have all experienced bottlenecks in cargo loading and transporting.

Those valuable insights add to the smooth loading of your vessel.

We anticipate on a good weight balance in the prestow plan, to ensure an enjoyable trip and a good night’s sleep for the crew. To give you an example, we promptly and carefully adapt our approach as needed, both before and during the loading process of your cargo vessel. Flexibility on the road to a strong maritime partnership.
